1. The Language Is Not Just Spanish

While everyone speaks Spanish, the local language is Mallorquín, a variety of Catalan. You’ll hear it in markets, villages and on street signs.

Some olive trees in the Tramuntana mountains are more than 1,000 years old – and still produce olives today.
